Husain Abbas
I have been working with computers since 1998 programming on educational languages such as GW Basic and QBasic. I quickly moved up to assembly and wrote a full featured UI and utility development library for QBasic called Newlib. Written completely in assembly, the library was well received amongst enthusiasts and developers.
I started working with PHP and MySQL and developed simple to intermediate applications for community and friends. After stepping in Web Development world, I quickly picked up related technologies like XML, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, etc. While building skills as a PHP/MySQL developer, I also earned a certification for computer maintenance and hardware support around the same time.
After completing school, I started my graduation in 2003 and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree (B.E.) in Computer Science from Visveshwaraiya Technological University, Belgaum. I started freelancing in the last 18 months of my graduation course which gave me a chance to polish my development skills. Over the course of my freelancing career, I learned about new technologies and how to apply them in real world on actual projects. I familiarised myself with best practices, guidelines and conventions of each technology and applied them to improve the quality of my work.
After graduating, I joined a large multi-national corporation and worked on a development platform for enterprise applications. I left the job to start Circumbridge.
Today, I work as a development head and partner of Circumbridge. I blog on my personal site and enjoy books, movies and photography amongst other things. You can follow me on twitter or contact me.

I love designing. Since childhood, I loved art and craft. I also watched a lot of cartoons, when one day, I decided to make cartoons when I grow up.
When I was in the 5th year of my schooling, we bought our first PC. Naturally, I was immediately hooked. I was very curious. I started learning the basics on my own. After a couple of years, when I was fully versed with the basics and beyond, I found Graphic designing to be very interesting. I started learning Photoshop on my own with the help of internet and was amazed by the infinite possibilities, it opened up. I started doing voluntary projects for the community.
I got a lot of printing projects at that time, so I familiarised myself with CorelDraw in detail, and I loved it! Once I started learning these, I couldn’t stop. I even started learning a bit of HTML on the side. But as I “eventually wanted to make cartoons”, I started learning video editing. I became a pro in Adobe After Effects and Premiere in no time. I did a handful of projects and a couple of freelancing jobs in video editing.
After I finished my schooling, I joined an institute to learn 3D animation. After doing a foundation course, I specialised in visual effects. I was in the process of creating a demo reel, when I got an offer to partner up with a friend to create our own designing and development firm. I was waiting for this kind of an opportunity and just took it. Hence Circumbridge was born.
I am the head of designing at Circumbridge. Apart from Photoshop, CorelDraw, etc… I am well versed with HTML, CSS, a bit of PHP and other tools used for front end web-designing. Combining these with my designing skills, I create beautiful websites, which follow the latest trends and standards.
Apart from designing, I am interested in books, movies, games, food and a bit of photography. I would like to travel the world someday. Please feel free to contact me for any queries… or even just to say hi.
